Who's watching?

The weather's turned for the worse again so we're waiting it out here in Market Harborough. The other day we took Chico for a walk and spied this Muntjac deer in the bushes on the other side of the canal.

It wasn't at all frightened of us and stood watching us watching it until we got bored and walked on. There's certainly plenty of wildlife on this section of canal. Apart from the deer we've seen squirrels, rabbits and several kingfishers.  All the female mallards have disappeared onto their nests, so no doubt we'll be spotting ducklings before long. Oh, and we know there's at least one fox comes past our boat at night as Chico found some fox poo and thought he'd wear it as aftershave. He wasn't too impressed when he was put straight into the shower!  That'll teach him.
