Ducklings
I'm sure all of the blogs will soon be awash with duckling photos. While we were having lunch today this mallard suddenly appeared on the opposite bank. She's been nesting in the scrub at the end of a garden and today her eggs hatched.
The chicks were drying in the sun but we couldn't see how many there were until they found their feet and she trotted them round the lawn. There are 10.
