We've seen our first goslings today. We passed a large brood on the mainline just past Coole Pilate but as we reached the marina this pair had just one solitary baby. One of our friends who moors here told us the brood started off at 6 and he thinks the others have been taken by a mink which has been spotted here.

We moved onto our temporary mooring in Overwater Marina today and I must compliment the staff for giving us such a friendly welcome. They took the time to show us round all the facilities and then gave us loads of information about the surrounding area to make sure our stay is as pleasant as possible. I'm not surprised they've been winning awards; they even have proper recycling facilities with separate bins for almost everything which is something we've rarely found anywhere else.
When we came to have a look around last Autumn the marina was nowhere near full but that's all changed and now there aren't many empty berths, but the way it's been laid out still gives the impression of loads of space.
